Purposes and legal bases of processing

We process your data for the following purposes:

  1. concluding and performing the agreement for the use of the Renthelp service: this processing of your personal data is necessary for the performance of the agreement (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR);
  2. marketing of Renthelp products or services (excluding direct marketing): your personal data will be processed for this purpose in pursuit of Renthelp's legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), which is the ability to market its own products and services;
  3. direct marketing of Renthelp products or services: this processing of your personal data is necessary to pursue Renthelp's legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), which is the ability to market its own products and services by communicating with you directly in order to advertise and promote Renthelp services;
  4. researching preferences regarding the demand for Renthelp services (including by means of SMS or email surveys): this is necessary to pursue Renthelp's legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), which is the ability to determine the range of products and services customers are interested in and their level of satisfaction with Renthelp services;
  5. preparing summaries, analyses and statistics for Renthelp's internal needs, including reporting, planning the development of services, development work on the Renthelp application and building statistical models: this processing of your personal data is necessary to pursue Renthelp's legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), which is the analysis and development of its business;
  6. implementing new or developing existing solutions and features of Renthelp systems and applications (developing application features, testing newly introduced solutions, analyzing which new features need to be introduced, building analytical tools and reports, etc.): this processing of your personal data is necessary to pursue Renthelp's legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), which is developing Renthelp systems and applications and ensuring that they operate securely;
  7. establishing, pursuing or defending against claims related to the concluded agreement or to the processing of your personal data: processing your personal data in this respect is necessary to pursue Renthelp's legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), which is the ability to establish, pursue or defend against possible claims;
  8. fulfilling the legal obligations incumbent on Renthelp under the applicable law: in this case the processing of your personal data is necessary to comply with the legal requirements to which Renthelp is subject (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).

Categories of data recipients

The recipients of your personal data may be:

  1. entities authorized under the law (courts, state authorities);
  2. entities providing Renthelp with accounting, IT, marketing, communication and analytics, legal and debt collection services;
  3. our subcontractors and other entities we cooperate with.

Transfers of data outside the European Economic Area

Your data will not be transferred to entities established outside the European Economic Area.

Data retention period

We will process your data:

  1. for the purpose of concluding and performing the agreement: until the agreement is terminated or expires, and then until the claims become time-barred;
  2. for the purpose of marketing products or services (excluding direct marketing): until the agreement is terminated or expires, or until you object to the processing of data for this purpose;
  3. for the purpose of direct marketing of Renthelp products or services: until the agreement is terminated or expires, or until you object to the processing of data for this purpose;
  4. for researching preferences regarding the demand for services: until the agreement is terminated or expires, or until you object to the processing of data for this purpose;
  5. for the purpose of establishing, pursuing or defending against claims: until those claims become time-barred;
  6. for fulfilling legal obligations: until the data retention obligations arising from the law expire;
  7. for the purpose of preparing summaries, analyses and statistics for internal needs: for the duration of the agreement, and then until the claims arising from the agreement become time-barred, or until you object to the processing of data for this purpose;
  8. for the purpose of implementing new or developing existing solutions and features of Renthelp systems and applications: until the agreement is terminated or expires, or until you object to the processing of data for this purpose.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have:

  1. the right to access your data and to receive a copy of it;
  2. the right to rectify (correct, complete) your data;
  3. the right to erasure of your data and to restriction of its processing;
  4. the right to data portability;
  5. the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority (the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, UODO).

Right to withdraw consent

You may withdraw your consent to the processing of personal data at any time. This applies only to data that Renthelp processes on the basis of consent you have given. To do so, please send a message to [email protected].

Right to object

You may at any time object to the processing of your personal data processed by Renthelp in pursuit of a legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) by sending us a message to [email protected].

Information on whether providing data is required or voluntary, and the consequences of not providing it

Providing your personal data is voluntary, but necessary to conclude and perform the agreement for the use of the Renthelp service and to achieve the other purposes listed above. To the extent that Renthelp processes data on the basis of consent, you do not have to give that consent in order to use Renthelp services.
